Championships Definitions.
World Championships:
The World Chamionships Football (FIFA World CupTM) are being organised by the FIFA: Fédération Internationale de Football Association.

Continental Championships:
Within the FIFA organisation there are six Confederations (Continental Organisations); each of them organises in various ways their own Continental Championship:

NOTE:
Matches for any confederational Tournament which also count as qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup are taken into account for the respective Confederational All-time Ranking Tables as well as for the All-time World Cup Ranking Table.
For the various 12-years Ranking Tables the aforementioned matches ofcourse are counted only once.
